About
Skye Tholstrup (b. 2001, UK) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer working across collage, crochet, latex and sculpture. Her practice draws on myth, art history and the body to create tactile worlds where beauty, desire and discomfort collide.
A graduate of Chelsea College of Arts, UAL, Tholstrup received a First Class Honours degree in Textile Design and was awarded the Emerging Artist Prize at the Dorset Open 2025.
In 2026, her work was exhibited at Matt Carey-Williams, London, as part of Scene XVII: pity this busy monster, where she presented Because of You, Girl with Claw and Harpies.
Transformation sits at the centre of Tholstrup’s practice. Drawing from religious imagery, mythology, historical symbolism and representations of the body, she reworks familiar visual languages through tactile and unexpected materials. Crochet, collage and latex become tools for creating forms that exist between the seductive and the unsettling, the soft and the sharp.
Alongside her studio practice, Tholstrup works across art, fashion and image-making, with an interest in creative direction, styling and storytelling. She previously trained at the Joana Vasconcelos Atelier in Lisbon, contributing to large-scale projects including Valkyrie Miss Dior for Dior’s Paris Fashion Week.
