Collages
My collage practice brings together materials collected over the years, from vintage magazines and old books to found photographs and my own images. Each piece of paper, photograph, or illustration is chosen for its potential to be reimagined and transformed.
Many of my collages draw from myths, folklore, and art history, reinterpreting familiar stories through a surreal and playful lens. Collaging allows me to build obscure and unsettling creatures, mixing humour with discomfort and the weird with the wonderful. Iām drawn to imagery that feels slightly off, something that invites curiosity while disturbing a sense of familiarity. Through unexpected pairings and surreal juxtapositions, I explore how beauty, absurdity, and unease can coexist within a single frame.
Through this process, I create imagined worlds that feel both ancient and entirely new, inviting viewers to find their own narratives within the chaos.
